Rob Ivimey, President

RobSince 1992, Rob Ivimey has been the President of Garvin-Allen Solutions. As President, he is responsible for growing the company from two employees to what it has become today. Beginning with a niche in the Farm Market, the company has expanded to include a full suite of offerings across various platforms. Rob has also overseen the company's growth in Canada, the United States, Europe and the Caribbean.

Rob started Garvin-Allen after spending a short time working for IT companies across Canada. After gaining some experience he launched the company and has been leading the way in insurance technology ever since. Rob is a sought-after speaker on issues relating to the automation of the insurance sector.

Under Rob's leadership, Garvin-Allen has been recognized for its growth in export sales and its expertise in the insurance market.




Colleen Ivimey, Human Resources Manager

ColleenAs the Manager of Human Resources, Colleen's role is to ensure Garvin-Allen has the best and the brightest working with them. As such, her job revolves around recruitment of employees and developing a culture of excellence. Colleen prides herself in finding great people and introducing them to Garvin-Allen.

Colleen spent 15 years working with a top5 financial institute in Canada. In that role, she focused mostly on financial account management and then as a regional marketing manager. From there, she assumed a Sales Management position and honed her Human Resources skills.

Colleen holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. She has also received a variety of sales and human resources certifications.




Sherri Blandford, Team Lead, Development

SherriAs Team Lead Development, Sherri Blandford is responsible for ensuring quality in all development initiatives. Her leadership abilities have proven invaluable to the team. Sherri has also taken a lead role in Human Resources.

Sherri joined Garvin-Allen in 2006 after working with large IT corporations like Keane and CSC. Since joining the company, she has worked in several capacities as a Software Developer.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Memorial University as well as an Applied Information Technology Diploma from the Information Technology Institute in Halifax. Sherri also has a Certificate in Supervisory Development from Saint Mary's University.



Alain Lefebvre, Director, Research and Development

AlianAlain Lefebvre is Director of Research and Development at Garvin-Allen Solutions. In his role, Alain oversees all operations focusing on the development and execution of world-class insurance technology solutions.

Before joining Garvin-Allen in 1997, Alain had a number of senior leadership positions with a variety of companies. All roles focused on system analysis and delivery.

Alain holds degrees from Saint Mary's University and Loyalist College.




Ken MacDonald, Director, Delivery

kenKen MacDonald is the Director of Delivery for Garvin-Allen. Ken oversees and manages the delivery and implementation of software that has helped Garvin-Allen customers be leaders in the insurance industry. Ken's team works with clients to make sure the software delivers the solutions they need to better serve their clients.

Prior to joining Garvin-Allen in 2001, Ken held various leadership positions at Sports Direct and DHL. Ken holds a Bachelor's degree from Saint Mary's University and a Masters of Information Technology from Dalhousie University. He also holds special designations in Product Management, Project/Program Management (PMP Certification, Certified Scrum Master) and Business Development, Consulting




Mike Whitty, Product Manager

MikeAs Product Manager for Garvin-Allen, Mike Whitty is responsible for all aspects of product manufacturing and logistics. He is also charged with creating the capabilities and opportunities that enable Garvin-Allen to grow in the marketplace.

Mike has been with Garvin-Allen since the beginning of his career. He has enjoyed many positions throughout his tenure and has come to know the business, the product and the operation inside and out.

Mike studied Business Administration and Computer Programming at the University College of Cape Breton. He also has a Masters Certificate in Project Management from Schulich School of Business.
